Paul was born 1972 and grew up in the interior of British Columbia. Fueling Paul's passion for filmmaking and the outdoors has been BC's plethora of outdoor activities and world-class athletes.
Paul's first video camera was purchased in 1991.  For the next 7 years, Paul filmed and produced a wide range of content varying from promotional videos to athlete demo reels to content for local television.  It was as Paul recovered from a ski injury to his knee that his career as a filmmaker took shape.
His first film to be released to the public was entitled Free Reign. This all-sport movie featured the best of Paul's footage to date and was sold in shops around southern British Columbia. Free Reign was an immediate success and played a key role in the shaping of Paul's future. With the confidence, support, and experience gained from this project, Paul teamed up with Montreal based ski movie production company, 2Track Productions. With tireless enthusiasm, Paul commuted to the hottest destinations in North America's west coast to film 'The Playground'. His dedication to this project and the athletes was realized in 2002 in Las Vegas when he was nominated for Best Chase-Cam at the Powder Magazine Video Awards.
In November of 2003, 2Track Productions released its second ski movie, 'Versys'. Paul played a key role in this project as principal videographer and co-editor. Shortly after the release of Versys, 2Track Productions announced that it would be merging with another Quebec based film company called Plehouse Films. This opened the opportunity for Paul to team up with Nate Loder of Jib Culture Productions and still photographer/artist extraordinaire, Bruce Rowles.
From the start, the 'Disturbing The Piste' team was a perfect match. All are immersed deeply in the ski industry and are very experienced. They all have a great sense of humor. They all displayed an unwavering dedication for the sport and for their area of expertise. And finally, they all want nothing more than to progress the whole of the sport and live a lifestyle that allows them to pursue their passion.
With Paul's easygoing outlook, good nature, and strong people skills, he has become a 'go to' person in the snow sport industry. Athletes and industry figures know Paul can be counted on to go the extra mile and do what ever it takes to get the job done. Paul is currently Director of Production for Promark Productions.. Current samples of Pauls work can be viewed here.
