Paul Cotton has produced 4 movies. In 2000 Paul released his first film Free Reign. Free Reign featured a wide range of disciplines ranging from motocross to skiing to bmx riding. In 2001 Paul teamed up with Montreal based 2Track Productions and a year later released The Playground. Paul filmed about half of the movie and edited Dana Flahr's segment. This 35 minute freeski movie was considered by many to be 2Tracks best work. Paul was 1 of 3 videogrpahers nominated by Powder Magazine for the Powder Magazine Video Awards Follow-cam of the year.

In 2002 2Track Productions began working on their next film entitled Versys. Versys featured many of the world's top freeski athletes. It weighed in at 50 minutes and was released internationally on DVD. Shortly after Versys was released 2Track Productions disbanded.

Paul teamed up with Whistler based Jib Culture Productions to produce Disturbing The Piste. DTP was filmed and edited almost entirely by Paul and was released in late 2004 on DVD. This was Paul's first plot based movie which featured a diverse mix of athletes, terrain and skiing styles. DTP featured more than 2 hours of unique content including bonus footage.

Paul produced a compilation of all his ski footage in 2006 which was entitled 'balance'. 'balance' is a look into the rapidly growing world of newschool skiing. As the title suggests, this short film was edited to profile all aspects of the sport. Big Mountain Lines, Terrain Parks & Half Pipes, and Jibbing. With a refreshing mix of high energy shots cut to an upbeat soundtrack, the audience is challenged to judge whether these athletes are crazy or just extremely talented, or maybe both. The athletes balance their desire to progress their skills with the obvious safety risks associated with high calibre skiing. The technicality of these disciplines is often overlooked by the general public so again a balance was needed to keep the entertainment value high enough to suit a non-skier but also technical enough to intrigue the most elite of freeskiers. This footage was shot primarily in British Columbia's Coastal Range, the Monashee Mountain Range and the Canadian Rockies. 'balance' won the Peoples Choice award at Festival Auron in France in April 2006 It also won best documentary in the Okanagan Film Festival in 2006 'balance' is currently touring with the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour which travels to over 30 countries world wide.
