The Winemakers Cup continues to be an Okanagan wine indsutry favourite. Mt Baldy offered up a challenging course with tight gates and some deep powder for before and after the race. Spirit Ridge was once again the venue for Friday's Blind Tasting and after party hosted be the title sponsor Cellartek. Passa Tempo served Saturdays spectacular dinner which was followed by the days highlight video and an awards ceremony. The night finished with Double Magnum rocking the dance floor at the after party. Here's the highlight video from the days race.

The third annual Winemakers Cup built on it's 2009 success. Winemakers, staff, industry, and enthusiasts joined the gracious staff at Spirit Ridge for an action packed wine weekend. The event changed format slightly from previous years by kicking off with a Wine Forum on Friday night. Mohamed Awad & Jay Drysdale captivated attendees with a comprehensive look into some of the area’s best wines. Saturday morning offered sun and great snow at Mt Baldy Ski Area. With the course set, tension high, bets/bribes made, the race kicked off. Athletes (a strong word) were given two runs with the best combined time taking home the coveted Winemakers Cup. Awards were also given out to best crashes, slowest times, and various other categories. Chef Paul LaGrange of Passa Tempo restaurant produced an amazing five course dinner paired with wine which set the tone for an extrordinary night of dining, drink, and dancing. For many it was their first look at the great new conference centre facilities at Spirit Ridge which was thoroughly rocked by the 'Double Magnum' band. Mt Baldy Ski Resort played host to another successful Winemakers Cup on March 7. Winemakers , hecklers, and support staff travelled from as far away as Whistler to take part. Friday night's wine Rave at Osoyoos' Spirit Ridge proved to be a major factor leaving several potential competitors out of commission. Those who dragged themselves out of bed weathered some high winds and blowing snow to compete in this well organized race and a good time was had by all. The event wrapped up back at Spirit Ridge with a fantastic dinner, awards ceremony, and highlight video.
